I am obsessing over gold lately. Have you ever tried gold leafing? I have been having a lot of fun with it recently, and can't wait to share some of my fun DIY's.
Gold just adds a nice touch of glam to any decor. One of my good friends just redecorated her living room in gold and grey...and I love it!
If any of you want to see some fantastic golden finds...take a peek at west elms golden gilded pinterest board and you're bound to fall in love! Tell me, would it be weird if I gold leafed the outside of my house?! I'm seriously considering it... :-)

sprucin' up your stationary
I got these ever so colorful thank you cards from tiny prints and absolutely loved them! It's like I say you can never have to much stationary or thank you cards! When I received these in the mail I got SO overly excited! And, because of my slight obsession with glitter; I decided to touch them up a bit. :-)
I also wanted to say THANK YOU. I love the interaction I have with you all through email, social networking, and most of all through blogging. It's my passion, and my creative outlet; and I just want to say thank you, for joining me along for the ride!
To express my thanks, I've been working on something super exciting! However, I don't have all my ducks in a row just yet...so until than you'll just have to wait :-)

DIY Valentines
We are going to a little V-Day party tomorrow... which makes for a perfect excuse to get a little crafty! I decided to pull out a few of my art supplies for Sage's Valentines. They were super easy, super glittery (of course, you've gotta add a little sparkle to your notes of love right?!) and one of a kind...since ya know three year olds really think about that part. wink wink.

Thanksgiving Card...
I love making cards...thank you cards, birthday cards, holiday cards. You know, any kind of card really. So I decided to add a fun twist to my Thanksgiving cards this year...with a touch of colorful ribbon and of course glitter! It's way easy, and something different.
Can you even believe that Thanksgiving is next week? My gosh where did this year go?!
***I got the glitter kit and blank stationary on sale at Joannes Fabric (they always have a great sale section!), and the ribbon at Target.

Pixie Dust for the Pumpkins...
I know, I have a problem. I'm sort of obsessed with glitter. I can't help it, I love the way it makes things looks so much better :-).
My little Sagey and I decided to glitterfy our pumpkins rather than gut them. (less of a mess and personally I think it's much prettier). I went with the horizontal colorful design. Sage just went with the "no method to my madness" route. Both are equally fantastic.
All you do, is paint on your glue, and shake on that glitterly glitter (in sections that way your colors don't get mixed together) .

Colorful Pumpkins...
A RAINBOW OF PUMPKINS LINED NEATLY IN A ROW...
I couldn't wait to do this DIY project! I was thinking about how I could incorporate other colors rather than just orange and black for my Halloween decor and this is what I came up with! Colorfully fantastic indeed...and its super simple! There is just something about mini bright pink glittery pumpkins that gets me every time :-).
ALL YOU NEED IS:
-paint (colors are up to you!)
-mini pumpkins
-metallic spray paint or paint
-paint brush
First, spray paint or brush on the metallic color for your stems
Once the stems are dry, go ahead and paint your pumpkins and add your glitter
(I didn't do glitter on all of them, I wanted a few variations...)
Here's my mini little helper helping me paint our mini little pumpkins :-)

DIY: Sparkly Bulletin
I bought this bulletin board so that I can have a place to put all my loose papers- you know, trying to organize myself over here...and I wanted to add a little COLOR to it. I am WAY into glitter lately (remember my nails?). So I figured what better way to spruce things up then with glitter?!
All you need is: a bulletin board, some glue, a paint brush, mod podge, and glitter!
This is my lampshade I have in my office (a great TJ Max find) I added a string of beads on the bottom of it and so I chose to match the glitter to the pink beads...to tie it all in.
1. Just paint on a nice thin layer of glue....2. Put some paper underneath and on top to catch all the fallen glitter...I did this in sections and simply moved the paper as I went.
3. Then once I was done with sprinkling...out came the Mod Podge to seal the deal!
4. I got a bigger brush and gently painted it on top of the glitter just so that the glitter had a nice top coat so it wouldn't fall off...(don't mind my claw hand ha)
5. Then...(i am a bit of a perfectionist, don't hate me...) I went around with tape and got all the excess sparkles off the board.
6. Added some push pins (these are earrings of mine that don't have matches to them...they make PERFECT push pins)7. Lastly, hang it up for all to admire. Just gives it a nice touch don't you think?
The End.

Pink-a-licious
Hello my new followers! I am so excited you have joined Color Issue!
So, so excited!
I hope you had a fantastic weekend! I don't want to minimize the great giveaway which is in the post below...but I just had to share something dear to my heart!
Did you know that October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month?
Breast cancer runs in my family.
My grandmother had it at the age of 50...and thankfully has been cancer free for 25 years!
Breast cancer is real. It effects millions of women each day. It can happen to anyone.
So to honor these brave and strong women during this special month...
I decided to wear a little pink in a very glitzy way!
You'll need:
-any kind of glitter (I used the martha stewart kind)
-clear nail polish
1.) Pick out your color. Naturally mine was pink!
2.) Put a nice, thick layer of clear nail polish on and sprinkle to your hearts content
(i laid a piece of paper under my hand to catch all the extra)!
The glitter I chose was more like sparkly strips,
which I didn't realize laid a little rough until after the fact...
So I had to flatten them by softly pressing on it, just to seal it on there nice and tight.
You could still do this with powder glitter as well, just to give it that extra "sealage"
3.) Add a nice extra thick coat of clear polish on the top and there ya go!
p.s. don't mind my crooked middle finger...its like that on both hands?!?! Funky, I know. I debated whether or not to put this picture up b/c it makes my hand look gigantic (its the angle I promise!); but it shows the polish so nicely, I just had to!
Lastly, a little goes a long way with this stuff! So make sure you put all that extra glitter
(that didn't stick) back in its rightful place for next time!

p.s. try saying "i love boobies" without laughing. kinda hard ha.

Happy Monday!
