Kale Chips

Green is surely the magic color when it comes to health! At least it seems that way. Kale is by far one of the healthiest things you can eat! I had no idea until I was talking with a friend who was telling me all about it. To be honest, I've never even tried Kale before...until a few days ago.

Needless to say, I've joined the Kale forces my friends. It's good, real good. Especially when you slap some oil and salt on it, than roast it up nice and crispy!
Make sure when you wash this stuff, that you take each leaf and spread it apart and get the water in there nice and good. There are little things hiding deep within these bushes of leaves that you probably wouldn't want to eat. I'm just sayin'.
I made the mistake of putting a little to much salt. Don't do that. You can always add more later, but you can never take it away once it's been done (thx grandma for that tid bit) :-)
***For each bushel you use (I used four...this stuff shrinks A TON!)
1 TBS oil
1 TBS salt
mix it up and spread on an 11x17. Cook at 425 for about 45-60 minutes (until nice and crispy)

  2. Oooh Yum! Love healthy snacks that make you feel like you're still eating junk food. :) Just like the Cucumber Margaritas I made the other day.
