Pinwheel Cupcakes...Color Issue style

I wanted to do something different for some cupcakes I made as a "thank you" gift for a few friends...so I decided to make them very colorful and "springy".

All you need is:
-A cupcake mix of your choice (I used the funfetti)
-frosting (I was going to make it myself than realized why do more work for myself?!)
-food coloring
-a tooth pick
-ziplock bags
I used four different colors, and separated the frosting equally in four separate bowls. I wanted the colors to be super vibrant so I used about six drops of coloring for each color. (p.s. note to self: don't get food dye on your skin or clothes. I never comes off! ha)
Then I put each color in separate zip block bags and cut a tiny hole in each corner...(this can get messy! But worth it!)
Then start on your design...don't worry it doesn't have to be perfect (you'll see why). Its fun to experiment with different color variations and circle thickness. The great part is that every cupcake your design is different, which makes for a great presentation!

Once you've covered your cupcake...take your toothpick and pull from the center to the edge...go all the way around (your lines could be really close or further apart...) and suddenly it will all start comin' together!
I like to finish the middle off (since it looks all mutilated by the end of your toothpicking frenzy) do add a little dot of frosting--like the center of a flower :-)

The top middle cupcake, I actually started my toothpick on the edge and moved into the middle; the top right cupcake I did squiggly lines (looks sort of like a sun). I had so much fun making these, maybe to much fun. I most definitely found my inner child haha...everyone needs that once in a while!  :-)
