Did you know that a new Queen will be crowned this weekend?! Yep, right on top of that heavily-hair- sprayed-head!
I'm talkin' about the Miss America pageant! Will you be tuning in?
Okay, okay I will be the first to admit I am not an annual Miss America Pageant "watcher", BUT we were invited to a little Miss America party this weekend (how could we possibly resist!?). So, I wanted to make special crowns for the ladies...because, well let's be honest, we are ALL queens :-) **wink
I got these crowns in the dollar section of Target (LOVE that section) and then of course with my glitter obsession I decided to spruce these puppies up a bit. A little sparkle never hurt anyone...especially on a crown! Here's to you Miss America! :-)
Oh and here are a few links to check out this weekend...a colorful DIY craft board (so clever!), a delicious cinnamon roll recipe, some super cute retro-green earbobs, great grassy fun, and lastly a cute little bird nest-helper (never heard of such a thing!) :-)
So pretty!
ReplyDeleteI am so excited about the pageant! I've competed in the Miss America organization for the last two years, so it's always so much fun to watch the girls I've competed with compete. You're going to love it. :)

A tiara is always appropriate :-)
ReplyDeleteThis is such a cute idea! It would be perfect for a girls night party to get together for the Miss America pageant and wear tiaras.
ReplyDeleteLove the crown:) And the grass link...so fun!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute idea! I only tune in when I know the contestants- my sorority sister competed last year & my friend's sisters will compete this year! have a great time at the party. xo

I've never been a huge Miss America watcher, but I have to say, a Miss America party sounds pretty fantastic!
ReplyDeleteLast month I went to a Raclette party (kind of like a fondue) here in France and we ended up watching Miss France. And let me tell you something, watching all those skinny skinny girls parade around as I stuffed myself with cheese was awesome!
looks pretty!
