Tis the season and I absolutely love it!
My sweet friend Barb and I decided to put on a shower for Kelly who is just the best of the best! We went with corals and greys with pops of yellows...arranging the flowers is my favorite part. It's almost therapeutic for me---
We went with an icecream bar (complete with way to many toppings) because icecream is Kelly's favorite dessert. You really can't go wrong with cold creamy goodness with fudge, caramel, strawberries, brownie bites and whipped cream on top!?
Anyways she was showered with love and congrats and it was great fun to be apart of such a special occasion!
^^^peonies are officially my favorite flower^^^
^^^the before and after...
^^^Barb tied small pieces of tule along a strand of white wired lights and we hung them from the island...it added the perfect touch of magic. So glad she took the time to make that!
^^^made this out of fabric...the dumb "A" and "I" kept moving...but you get the point right?!^^^
^^^These draperies were made similarly to the wedding backdrop my sister made last year

ReplyDeleteThank you so much Stephanie! It's a work in progress but there's nothing better than making your home feel like "YOUR home" :-) my walls are painted Sherwin WIlliams Foggy Day. :-)
DeleteThanks Aarean! I love that color and actually have a sample on my walls (along with 2 others). Seeing it in your home really helps in making my final decision!
DeleteHi, it's me again. I just love the picture with your kitchen table, window coverings, paint color and those pictures are fabulous! Could you also share where you found those I have fallen in love with them & have spent a month looking for something similar with no luck. I hate to bother you ;)
DeleteI got the pig, cow and fish pics at Home Goods like four years ago :-( it was a lucky find...but Home Goods is a great place to find little things like this for a good price! My window coverings I had made...I went and picked out all the fabric at a "consignment" fabric place and since I don't sew I hired them out. YOu can find a lot of people who sew roman shades on etsy too...and they have the option of you sending them the fabric you want!
DeleteThe pig, cow & fish pictures :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a small world! I stumbled across your blog searching for Mary Romney's blog. I babysat Kelly before her family moved to San Diego from Utah. It is so fun to see her all grown up with a little girl of her own! What a fun shower you threw for her!
ReplyDeleteoh my gosh that is so crazy I'll have to tell her you you commented and found this post! What a small world...she is pretty awesome and I'm so happy for her and Craig! It sure is crazy how fast time flies isn't it?!
