The Rocking Chair....

Remember when I mentioned I bought a rocking chair at Goodwill for $29...it was just to good of a deal to pass up! A chair with serious potential but needed some serious TLC! As I loaded it into my car (well, lets be honest, as I watched Josh load it into the car) I thought "what did I get myself into?!". Now, about three weeks later, I am happy to report that the ugly duckling chair has indeed turned into a swan (ha ya like that metaphor?!). After a little sanding, priming and painting...and some new cushions that my mom sewed for me--it's done! It actually turned out better than I imagined; I simply cannot wait to rock my little babe in it! Amazing what a little paint can do...

  7. I love this transformation! I always get excited for projects like this but somewhere along the line, I think to myself, "I bit off more than I can chew". Thanks for the inspiration! The end result is enough to make it all worth it.

I made some Frozen Cherry Soda Bites that I think your little one will love. :)

  11. The Goodwill in Santee is my favorite thrift store. I can always find something that I want. This is funny cause I'm going there tomorrow and I'm going to do a post on my blog titled "Thrift Store Thursday", about whatever I may find that day. Love your blog.

    1. ha Lela...you're comments always crack me up--I wish I could say I was posting the finished nursery TODAY but I have a problem...my little Sagey girl is currently taking over the crib and sorta kinda refuses to move into a "big girl bed" so the nursery is cribless which makes nursery #2 slightly incomplete :-(. Maybe I"ll post w/o the crib !?!?!

    2. Just make your hubby drag the crib into the nursery for a photo shoot and then drag it back to Sagey's room for her to sleep! That's what hubbies are for!!! Use and abuse :)
