When I saw these photos of Katharine Mcphee I thought "now that is a trio of colors I never would have thought to put together...." and you know what, I think I really like it! Who would have thought that wearing red, orange and green together would look so chic?! I must say she really has come come a long way since her American Idol audition...:-)
What do you think of this...mimic or steer clear from?
I LOVE!
ReplyDeleteI love this combo! Normally we only see pink/red but the orange/red is a fresh look!
ReplyDeleteHmmmm, that's a tricky one. SInce she doesn't have a ton of accessories and there is not print, I think it can pass!

I think she can totally pull this look off. I especially like the coral/orange lipstick which helps to pull the look together.

nope. i couldn't do that. i would pair those shoes, the skirt and a white top. i could do that. but the 3 colors, is just too much for my style.

I think she looks fabulous. It's outside the box, which I love. Great post! :)

I love Katharine McPhee and I think she has a great sense of style. That being said, I'm not crazy about this outfit. Each piece individually is very pretty, but not a fan of them all together.

the picture took awhile to download so at first i only saw the red and orange combo. nay on that combo but YAY with the green shoes. LOVE IT. color blocking is my new thing and she nailed it.
ReplyDeletexo the egg out west.
I am surprised by how much I like this outfit... I think it has to do with the fact that each piece is a demure, classic piece in a punchy and bold color. I really like the juxtaposition of fun and classy!

I would have gone for either the shoes + the orange, or the shoes + the red - tbh I think it's a bit too much like this. But kudos to her for daring to be bold :) x

I suprisingly like it. I would never have put that together myself, but it looks awesome.
ReplyDeleteI think she looks FABULOUS!
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't wear this personally cause I'm a COLOR-PHOBE but
I think you can pull it off! :)
I love the red and orange together. I'm not feelin the green so much.. maybe cause it feels to christmasy with the red. But then again I'm not Katherine Mcphee and look amazing in whatever I throw on!

it's definitely different. but i think she works it. ;)

Nice color blocking. I've seen a lot of bright colors, but the rusty ones work just as well. Good fashion tips.

not your typical color blocking but if anyone could work it, it would Katherine McPhee!

I think she looks fabulous! Not something I would necessarily pick out, but she is making it look incredibly cute!

Big time YAY! She can certainly pull off this bold look. Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI can DIG it!! It's McPhee!! :) Loving this new show
ReplyDeleteI actually love red and orange together! Wore it as a combo the other day on the blog (http://www.randomnessfromtheaddiecorner.blogspot.com/2012/01/jack-snipper.html). So sassy and fun!

Love it!
ReplyDeleteOh I happen to think she pulls off this unconventional color combo very well! She is beautiful no matter what she'd wear though.
ReplyDeleteI really like it. Katherine McPhee can pull off anything, though!~
ReplyDeleteI like it... Not sure if I could rock it though!!

it's bold and refreshing. it's a color palette that takes a second to process b/c it's not typical. but then u recognize, is that glitter in my eyes? yes. why yes it is. luv it!
ReplyDeleteYay! I think this is a clever combination of a great color block. I am curious if her stylist put this together, or if she was bold enough to wear this herself..
ReplyDeleteI agree Sweet Marie! Color blocking is my favorite...there are so many colors out there, yet people are afraid to combine and try to be all matchy matchy! I bet her stylist put it together though... ;)
DeleteI love the combo. Just think of how much bright pink and red has grown on us all :0)
ReplyDeleteI say, YAY!! You already saw me wearing the orange and turquoise/green- love that combo and how she put this together.
ReplyDeleteI think it actually works on her, but the pieces could also be a disaster if too much print was incorporated. I think I'd totally mess this up if I did this at home!
