Make a Statement...

There are three things, in my opinion, you can do to spruce up any casual outfit:

1. Wear a great pair of jeweled flats
2. Take with you a colorful clutch/purse
3.Wear a statement piece of jewelry!


I will admit openly that I have a slight infatuation with statement necklaces.
They are such a great way to add a splash of color to any simple outfit (ex: white t-shirts)
Here are some that I have been eyeing this season...Talk about great colors!

Oh, and if you think you can't pull off a big necklace like these...think again! YOU CAN!

    I love statement necklaces, but tend to shy away from them at chain stores because they are plasticky and lightweight (this is a pet peeve of mine at Anthro). My favorite source is a designer named dana le blanc on etsy, she makes gorgeous statement necklaces for less than the cost of most of the ones here!

    I also think scarves are a great way to add color and spruce up an outfit. Not to mention they're a must up here in cold Minnesota but I usually wear them at least three seasons.
