Now here's a "bright" idea...

So lately my little Sagey girl has been the ultimate "picky" eater! Its quite frustrating actually. Especially when she doesn't even look at the pancakes (she LOVED last week?!?!) I made for breakfast...and then lunchtime comes around and she wants nothing to do with the grilled cheese I so lovingly put together...what is a mother to do? Let her child starve?

That is when my friend Sandy gave me some genius advice, "Use toothpicks"... and let me tell you my friends, it works! She now will even venture off and taste the cucumbers and broccoli! What a novel idea, it's almost like she thinks it's a game. She is so focused and determined that I love just sitting there and watching her eat!

So for all you mama's and papa's out there who are about to give up...there is hope...use a toothpick! :-)

  2. Whaaaa? This sounds so sneaky and perfect! I can't believe I've never heard of it before. I'll try it tonight on my three year old who is refusing to eat dinner, no matter what deliciousness I make. Thanks!

  3. A fun way for kids to explore their food in a different way. Too cute. :)

  4. That is a great idea!!! Definitely going to share that with clients. Keep trying to reintroduce foods to her..it can take up to 20 exposures for a kid to even try something, so don't give up :)

  10. Hey that's me! Ha ha...glad it worked! I actually got the idea from my friend Carli. I also got some really cute little mermaid toothpicks from the party store and Sophie loves eating even more. So fun!

  12. I bet my toddler would love to eat like this! Maybe she would actually eat her food if I let her use a toothpick! Thanks for the idea!
